Wasted Dreams
I looked up to the melting sky.
The oranges and reds and pinks were
Dribbling down the canvas of blue,
My desperate hour came as my clear
Crystals leaked out of the corners of
My hazel irises.
Then trickled down my face as I lifted my
Tear-stained face to the seeping sky,
Praying in my hopeless hour.
The sky withered away
As if it cared nothing of my pain,
Of my hurt
And of the bruising and
Scars yet to make their appearance.
I watched the sky waste away into
Nothing but black,
And at the same time,
My heart wasted away into black, also.
