The Gift From A Friend
Each tear was a story untold
Of the sadness she could no longer hold
She cried at night when no one could hear
Holding her pillows she shed the tears
She shut people out
Pushed them away
She didn’t want anybody to stay
She was afraid of the pain
That could come again
The hurt that was given by a friend
Her grades went down
As her pain went up
She thought about ending it
But knew that was dumb
As the days went by
She wondered why
She deserved the gift
A friend had bestowed
The gift of sorrow
The gift of tears
The gift of letting nobody near
Cus the tears were great
And the pain was worse
And she did not want
To relive the hurt
So she pushed people away
Never lets them in
Because she dosent want to relive
the gift from a friend
