Chasing Raindrops

Trembling, she stands on cracked pavement alongside bleak houses.
Her tears blend with the freezing rain, turquiose eyes following cars as they chase down raindrops.
Their angrily persistant engines roar, racing after what they'll never catch.
Reflected in her eyes is the same desire.
No one giving up, they wait together, chasing raindrops.
