Fabienne
Casual smoker, hug-giver,
The ones that knew her always loved her.
Sadness around her and reasons for depression,
That had never once bothered her beautiful thoughts.
She’d brighten a day in barely two seconds,
And light up a lonely room in less than that.
Her laugh was like a butterfly, floating brightly and softly,
And when one of us would wearily wonder,
About everything from life, to love,
The other would wonder with.
Late-night talks and tears of joy,
Just being children seemed as right as life could be.
Losing last sight of nearby houses,
While lovingly holding the hand of the closest inspiration
I’ll ever know I had, and walking down the dark street.
A picture-perfect example
Of the prettiest person on this planet, inside and out,
With the emotions of a saint,
And a surprising stash of intelligence
Around every subtle corner of her mind,
Along with the Sign of the Cross
The moment she saw any ambulance go by.
