Distraction
So I'm sitting in this class
Wondering why
Why can't I cry?
My chest is contracting
My heart feels constricted
But there are no tears
No rain pour flooding down my face
No teardrops desperate to win the race
Win the race off the surface of a miserable girl
Who will never be accepted
I'm proud that I'm different
Never liked to conform
But look at me now
I'm nowhere
No one
My face is not caked with makeup
My body's fully clothed
I'm not a complete ditz
Or, so I've been told
But that's not what you like
Now is it, sweet babe?
My will is giving in
I believe I'm going to cave
...I'm so tired
