My Life
My life
flows smooth like
the Yukon River.
The only time it
gets rough
is when a storm comes.
Wind blowing,
waves splashing,
currents pushing me back,
far, far away from
my dream
to get to the top.
But that doesn't
stop me.
Like a king salmon,
I fight back upstream.
Current weakening,
setting me free.
Then I set sail,
overcoming the rough
waves of the storm in
my life.
