Shine
That girl over there
She shines like the sun, and the stars, and the moon all combined
When she speaks
It sounds like music
Cradling your attention
Like a slow, soulful, tune drowning in acoustic
You can try to break her
Go ahead
Let your jealousy and envy swell in your head
You will fail
Doubt you self
Because that porcelain skin is steel in a shell
The funny thing?
She isn’t perfect
She has zits, ugly feet, and bad breath in the morning
But she knows who she is
And believes in herself
All that shine?
That’s her soul
You have one too
And if you hated her less
You might have time to make it new
