What You Really See
When you look at the wall
What do you see
Do you see friends, love ones, family
Are you a mother, father, son, daughter, friend
Or are you someone who’s just looking for fun
If so then you should know
Each name represents a national hero
You see a john
I see bravery
No name is a number
Each name is a soldier
Who fought, Died, or is lost
You should know this because each day of the year
Someone died here
Everywhere in the world
There is some one hurting for that one name
This wall is no wall
It’s a burden that carries us all
