A leaf before gracing the ground
A leaf before gracing the ground
as it shall inevitably
will first pass through the span of air
that lies between it and the ground
a lifetime for it, but a moment for us
will this passage feel
by a twist of the neck
all of it and its insignificance
will be missed and therefore never have been
the life of a leaf is a short one
a short chaotic tumble down
brushed by breeze
nudged by gust
ulitmately fate decides
where it touches ground
but it touches ground always.
