My Color-Green
Green brings memories
Green touch’s the horizon
To the ground and brings
Them together as one
Green shows life, vigor, thoughts
Life brings hopes, dreams, ideas
Shades upon shades
Each with a different face
Green’s meaning’s spread throughout them
Freshly cut lawns
My cousins masterpiece at age nine
Dragons spotting green scales
In my favorite fable
Grandma’s special snap peas
And walks through the pasture
This face of green is where
My heart and soul truly are
The book of algorithms
With all its problems and solutions
It’s a lighter green
Yet it never fails it vex and annoy me.
Really thought about,
Green is simply a mask for blue and yellow
A shield for its friends,
Always there.
Green guides with
Street signs ‘exit’ and ‘Downingtown dr.’
Followed by a flashing green light
Always saying GO
Green comforts me
A warm knit handmade pattern
Around me snug and tight
Green is my shelter

Green is mother nature
The color of the lively plants
It is the animals' supermarket
She has the world's greatest apples, apricots and almonds
Green is mother nature
Sometimes green can be as small as a lonely tree
Sometimes green can be as large as an untamable jungle
Those that could fit millions of mansions
She can listen to trillions of animals for relaxation
Such as birds who are the sky's freckles
And the wolves who howl on every night
Who acts like an alarm clock
Her features are fertility and freshness
Harmony and growth
And she can make you feel
Safe and soothed
