Footsteps
They say I should follow my brother's footsteps,
and become a lawyer.
But how can I
when his shoes are size 15?
I have tried my dad's as well,
but the shiny, black, leather
was too uncomfortable.
Mother's high heels with pointed toes-
I couldn't balance.
It feels like I've tried them all-
I could not find a single pair that worked.
So, I guess I'll stay with my rough, calloused
bare feet
and make my own trail of footprints
in this world.
