Smiles hide so much. . .
She was fifteen,
when she took her life.
She thought she couldn't
go on any longer,
with the weight of the
world on her shoulders. . .
We all thought that
she was fine.
We all thought that
her mom didn't abuse her.
We all thought that
her dad didn't rape her.
We all thought a lot of things. . .
clearly we didn't know anything.
We didn't know the feelings inside.
We didn't know this pain
she was inflicting.
I can remember the two words,
that stabbed my heart when I heard them,
"She's dead"
I never thought that she
would do this to herself. . .
Then again,
I didn't know a lot of things. . .

and I just decided to write a poem about this moment..
