Never Understand MAG
On an island in the sea of doubt
I sit with a book of love
Propped open in my lap
Written across in big bold words
Across the soft pale pages
Are all the love you's
That I have been told
Since I was born
Told by father, by mother
And by those worthless friends
Who don't know the true meaning
Of love
Out in the sea, the storm of rage
Drips tears of guilt
And misunderstanding
Tightly they strike against my skin
Crying out all the swears
And insults I have made
In fits of anger and annoyance
Underneath me, the grains of sand
Are made of memories
As they play their endless repeat
I find myself weeping
So much I had
And yet, I never understood
Any of it
