A Week With Blake
His warm embrace captured my heart
His soft southern tongue blew through my memories
Like a bitter sweet melody
Though I will never again feel his hand in mine
I will always remember how they fit perfectly
He was a chivalrous lady’s man
But I liked him for it
Never once did he share his affection with me
On the sidelines I watched as he
Fawned over all the girls in a mile radius
Does that make me special or just invisible?
Either way I will never forget the boy I spent a week with
He was the most spiritual, fun-filled, annoying,
Creepy, attractive, popular Mormon boy I ever knew
We will change and our roads will draw us apart
And I fear I will not get that back rub he owes me
But I will always see him in my memory as
My gorgeous Georgia boy
Who I knew for a week
