Love is not chains,
more like ribbon.
even if it’s tied
like a noose it
can still be worn
like a tie.
but never a noose
for me!
only woven
into a shield to
protect or a blanket
to keep me warm.
whatever love is,
blanket,
accessory,
shield or noose
Love is not chains.

This poem was not actually aimed toward relationships really, but more toward a love of an ideal or belief.
