Hair Salon
Today I go to the hair salon to reinvent myself
Hoping that every trace of my boring and unstylish look
Will disappear, thereby, becoming the new unforgettable me
As I sit on the chair, the hairdresser picks up
A spray and a pair of silver scissors and with his masterly
Sleight of hands, the hairdresser cuts the edges
Of my long, black hair
With a short hair length just above my shoulders
The hairdresser brushes a lock of hair to the left
And he slowly trims the hair diagonally
Just to give me a side-bang
The blow dryer dries the water off my hair
And I shake my head and check my new look in the mirror
Smiling, I step out of the salon
As I am proud of my new look
That gives me the confidence to start everything afresh
