I Want Him
I want him to look at my eyes and say they belong to someone older
I want him to notice the tiny scares on my hands and ask how I got them
I want him to recognize the curve of my hip and the tilt of my lips
I want him to catch me when begin to manipulate
I want him to follow my train of though
I want him to discover secrets I didn’t even know about myself
I want him to remember to ask why my day was so bad
I want him to understand that I just can’t listen to him call me pretty
I want him to sense that deep down I am too kind, and that I have to hide it
I want him to feel it when I start to ache inside, and know to hold me tight
I want him to make me less alone in the world
I want him to need me like I need him
