Your Handprint
Your hand print was burned into my skin,
your heart beat kept me breathing,
you brought me into this world,
showing me the wonderful things of life,
but you kept in mind,
that one day i was going to grow up,
one day,
I wasn't going to be your little girl anymore,
Now that day is here,
and here to stay,
You can't find how to deal,
every tear that meets your cheek,
creates a crack in my soul,
I don't want you to hurt,
you are still apart of me.
