I Am Sinking
I am sinking and you beg to drown with me.
But I won't let you.
You are far too beautiful for this type of fate.
You are one meant for internal strangulation amidst external admiration.
And I am sinking. And you beg to drown.
To go down.
Down.
Down.
But you're far too beautiful to be stamped out like me.
I am meant to enjoy the longest of days in the shortest of lives.
I am meant to laugh and love and die young for being truly happy.
But you, you are meant to be beautiful and unhappy.
You were always meant to live while dying inside.
And I, to die young, for fully living my life.
