Broken Friendship
It’s like watching a tree die,
One by one the leaves fall until there is nothing left.
The branches bare, abandoned, forsaken
Time passes as it withers away,
Day by day it becomes lifeless and forgotten.
Just like our friendship it rots,
It turns into something unpleasant, awful, and flawed.
How could something so great, so comforting, so precious leave us as quickly as it did?
The roots were so strong, the branches were so full, yet it crumbled.
Some things in life are unexplainable and some things we’ll never know the meaning why.
