Memories
I'm five, and i wake up to cancelled school to see the softly falling snow, as a blanket of it is already covering my backyard. It went unnoticed through the night, when it has a certain beauty, with the bright moon shinging faithfully on it. I play in the fresh, cold snow, and I take off my gloves to discover my red, numb hands, I cry at my discomfort, and my mom wraps her warm arms around me, and takes me in and makes me hot chocolate. I am excited for Christmas, almost uncontainable, I feel guilty for peeking at my presents, but I will be getting them soon anyways, I will just have to act like I never saw them when it is time to open them. It's memories like these I will never forget.
