Holding on
When I gaze into your eyes
I see a better life
You may not know what I am thinking
But I hope you will tonight
As I hold your hands
And tell you how I feel
There is no better feeling
In the whole entire world
If I ever get the chance
To sweep you off your feet
I would save every moment
So that I can keep
As we see each other across the room
And our eyes become connected
Proud of you I feel I really do love you
Even though you never knew it
As I tell just tell you
How I feel like a weight is lifted
And out on you
As it becomes harder and harder
To say these last few words
I wish we could stay together
In a perfect world
To the world you may be one person
But to one person you may be the world
I am that one person who thinks you are the world
If you can just forgive me
For holding out on you
I just wanted to have the moment
Perfect just like you
As I think about it more and more
The weights are lifted and tossed onto the floor
If you can just see
How much you mean to me
Then you would understand what you mean to me
