Drinking and Driving
I went to that party
Your voice was inside my head
You told me to be careful
And to have a soda instead
I really, really tried mom
I promise you that
But everyone was having fun
And I was stuck in the back
So I had not one but two
And that soon turned into three and four
I lost count as I headed towards the door
As I got behind the wheel
And I started to drive
The world was turning upside down
Right before my eyes
Then I heard a sudden crash
A cry and a scream
I killed her, Mom,
Why am I so mean?
