5:08.
The first bird speaks
But there is no one else up to reply to it
I hear it
I smile
I wish I could reply to the bird
Make its heart sing
The same way it made mine
When your life is a living hell
Simple things aren’t so simple
A whispering voice is a battle cry
A walker isn’t weakness
And everything that is
was and
ever will be
A hospital
Is suddenly the enemy
The over sanitized floors
The giant revolving doors
I hate hospitals
And yet I’d linger there
Like the last light of day
Just to see you
To make you smile
In two hours you’ll be going under again
And I wish I was there
To help you through hell
To make you smile
