We Are One
They are like me. I am like them.
The Weeping Willows.
With their graceful branches,
Reaching toward the sky.
Me, with my flags.
Spinning gracefully in my hands.
Open to the sky.
Gracefully flying.
Like a natural part of me.
They go where I desire.
We are one.
Just like the Willows.
They are fast growing.
Eager to show the world
Their beauty.
Gone unnoticed, unless
You take the time to appreciate Them.
I am fast learning.
Absorbing knowledge
Like their roots absorb water.
Essential for life.
But finally,
The Willows go unnoticed no longer.
When you realize
From the depth of their flowing tresses,
A magical place,
Where all the worries of the day
Fade
The shimmering green curtains
Obscuring you from the outside World
That this beauty has always been here.
You just never took the time to look.
