I don't listen to my music loud
To drown all the voices out
It's so you'll snap at me
To turn it down
I don't wear black clothes
To make a statement
It's so you'll shake your head

I don't stay quiet
Because I'm dark and brooding
It's because I want you to ask
If I'm alright
I don't write violent poetry
Because that's what I want to do
It's because I want you
To be concerned about me

The only reason I punched that kid
I wanted you to be troubled
Only reason I got into that crash
I wanted you to cry for me

I do all these things
Not because I won't to hurt you
I need you to see me
I need you to notice me
If your eyes don't follow me
I wouldn't be sure

If I was alive

My body I willingly wreck
With all the weapons I can find
This way, you'll have to see me
You'll have to notice

Notice at me, look at me
With hate or with love
I don't care
As long as your eyes
Acknowledge me
As long as I know
That I am really here

Don't make me a ghost
