War never changes
As we lay down our arms,
Can you hear it; can you forget?
Do you feel the blood that soaks the ground, and mourns the blackened sky?
Gifted to live, but destined to die here; confined to these vengeful grounds,
Earth… is thy own battlefield,
Appreciated only in death, I’ve enslaved my own morality,
And in doing so created myself to be the lone soldier,
Patriot to one country, and sworn enemy to another,
Quality of life is no commodity in warfare,
Long as the graves of one nation fill faster than that of its competitor,
Armies shall stand ready, prepared kill and willing to die for a cause they were never told
