a dead mans story
my life passes by,
like cars on a freight train,
memories float past,
like distant clouds in the sky,
my hearts grows weary as time flies,
and my soul slowly drains along with all my sanity,
I am a dead man walking they say,
cant remember what life used to be only distant memories surpass all the rest,
of what used to be is gone,
and the smell of death fills my nose,
no longer hiding in the shadows,
ever present in my future,
I now embrace the inevitable,
my body finally gives its last passing breath,
and life for me has began to be only a distant star in the sky,
is what i have become.
