Backpacking
I want to go back to the mountains
and abandon all that ive been taught
about the importance of money
the power of politics
the how-tos of substance abuse
material possessions
all leading to our
overstimulated
processed
mass produced
factory
lives
i miss finding comfort in people
in conversation
uninterrupted
time is not a boundary
its an opportunity to think
freedom is never freedom
but that was the closest ill ever be
12,000 feet is so far away from anything i perceived as reality
the hardest days
made for the softest nights
to go to bed proud that you live in the world
and your world is right
apparently thats not life
maybe im wrong, but how could this be right
