I rest upon the oceans
after a raging storm
I engulf your heart and mind
like an embrace, I’m warm
Clearer than a cloudless sky
Fearless yet tranquil am I
They have searched far
and they have searched wide
But so few found
where I like to hide
I live in the hearts
of those who welcome me
I come with the people
who bring love between enemies
I leave every time
my integrity’s broken
with words stern or hostile
or justice unspoken
But silence is my brother
and stillness my best friend
My presence will take over
when I’m restored in the end
