Memory
My memory
Is a blurred recollection
Of scattered thoughts
My undying love
My anger fueled hate
A reminiscence
Of events so contentious
I struggle to believe
That they even could have happened
But latent in remembrance
They're pulling me down
Under navy blue water
The only way out
To drown
Scouring my mind
For a thought attached to wings
To pull me up from demons
Who drag me down so deep
I have a closet full of skeletons
I refuse to release
Held captive for an eternity
So only I can see
Maybe they're disheveled
Growing cobwebs on their bones
But they're forever apart of me
And what actually happened
I don't think I want to know.
