The Little Things
People do not often stop to take a look
At what they have already seen before
They do care of how the trees change color
Or how a mushroom might think
If possibly it could speak
Humans think they know all
But they are blind to the world around
They care only about themselves
And how they will benefit in the end
They search though life
Always looking for something new
And extraordinary
But they do not yet realize
If they would just open their eyes and ears
That the simple things are the greats of all
A colony of ants living together
The leaves changing color in the fall
How cars would look if you saw them
In a different point of view
Or what a thumbprint really is
The most extraordinary are the things you have already seen
But not truly seen
One day the world will open their eyes and see
The extraordinary is in
The little things
