Quiescent
Quiescent Dancer
The graceful ballerina yearns to move
But she is stuck forever in the dark forest
She bends and sways in the wind, still rooted to the spot
Her arms and body stagnant even as she weaves her way tacitly through time
She wishes to maneuver her way through complex poses, always the envy of the uncoordinated
But she is destined to remain entrenched in the dregs of the forest floor
Her tawny body desires to move, to leap and bound over the glossy surface of a stage
But she is frozen forever in a state of inert turmoil
