Waiting
It’s not fair,
asking, never getting.
If you love me like they say,
always, forever,
then why so many
unanswered prayers?
I’m so hated,
so unloved,
covered in masks,
piled on myself,
to hide what I hate.
“I hate you,”
at the top of my lungs.
Do I mean it?
No.
I say it, to everyone,
to prove I don’t hate me.
I cant stand me though.
Without the masks,
without the covering,
I don’t know who I would be.
I’m so lost.
I need a guide,
but you never answer.
Trying to find the real me,
less hatred,
maybe.
I’m not sure,
but I need you to listen,
to answer.
Please.
