Only a Little Girl
As I think about the loss today it makes my stomach curl,
I cry dear God, why her? For she was only a little girl.
The family greives with the rest of the town over this tragic loss
I wonder why it happened this way, but God, you are the boss.
You must have decided that it was her time
And its our time to stay as tears we cry
And whenever we're missing this sweet little girl
We'll remember that Jesus is holding her
She's safe and sound in His arms
Shielded from pain, grief, and alarms
This little angel will be greatly missed
But she has now been sent home to be in Your midst.
And we know this is where she belongs at this time.
And in the meantime, it's ok to cry.
