These changes
The want to show a trophy to the world
I never see anything and it is getting hopeless
My goal ever since I was a kid
Exhausted from getting up at 5 am for a week straight
Others make it look easy, yet so hard for me
The last day of the season for my family
A slight smell of sulfur from gunpowder and
the propane from the heater
The trees swaying from harsh wind
I see squirrels and birds plenty
The squirrels so loud
make me think they are deer
The nature is beautiful
I touch the barrel of my gun as
if it was telling me something
I don’t need to kill a deer
I taste the crisp air and the snow on my tongue,
The snow so rapid, The distance is vague
I can feel a sixth sense kicking in
I felt the presence of something
I hear branches break and the earth spin around me
Nearly jumped out of my stand in surprise
Should I pull the trigger
The smell of gunpowder once again
A stronger scent than before
Am I satisfied?
