All Things That Are Lost
I’m made up of things that are lost.
I have lost many people that are close to me.
It’s like when you lose your favorite sweatshirt and can never get it back.
Where I’m from, there is sadness and darkness.
Where the music playing is quiet and dark.
I grew up in the suburbs where I would stare out into the dark woods.
Where the trees are dark green and brown.
I wonder why I have lost the ones I have lost.
The music I hear is sad and solemn.
Salty tears are in my blood.
I’m made up of things that are lost.
