I wait
I wait for you like a dog at the front door
looking for you until the sun breaks the horizon
I know what you do each night while I wait
pumping your veins your perfect body full of toxins
because you believe it helps you feel better
But I will not judge what you have to do
it makes you happier than I could ever do myself
So instead I wait and lick your wounds
when you come back
and hope you stay with me until the night falls
