The Curse of Humanity
a dandelion,
blooming bright
worked so hard to
grow and
produce
for its seeds to be scattered
on the hard hot pavement
where it no longer grows
a bird,
soaring in flight
worked so hard to
survive and
thrive
for its wings to be shattered
on some dissonant glass
where it no longer crows
a storm,
raining in sight
worked so hard to
clean and
refresh
for its particles to be poisoned
on an abandoned plant
where the chemical flows
