Your Younger Self Is Still You (in someone's mind)
You think of her and wonder
if she still exists.
In my head she'll wander
Unreplaced by you.
Her curly hair and big blue eyes.
Those days we would make
Macaroni art and when slides
Were long and scary.
The smell of my old lunchbox
Always brings her back.
From my hands, I see it drops
And she picks it up.
You think of her and wonder,
"If I can't miss her,
Surely, no one would remember."
