Time Flies
They say time flies when you’re having fun.
I don’t think that’s true.
Time paces itself when you’re having fun.
Time drags itself out when you’re bored, scared, angry, or sad.
They say time crawls by like a tortoise when you’re not having fun.
I think that’s true.
Time does fly, though.
When you ask your mother, “remember when we found a big, plump pumpkin to carve at patch, about a month ago?”
“how could I forget, you were rolling your eyes and grumbling the entire time.”
No, you don’t remember that. Because you were small and innocent and filled with spirit.
But that was ten years ago.
This is when time flies.
