The Power of Life
Forever wishing to be your guardian,
Yet seeing that life carves its own path.
In the community where we live, on campus, even in a decaying drain,
A pale yellow flower sprouts.
As long as you wait long enough,
And a familiar silhouette will surely appear.
The farthest distance in the world,
Is not between day and night,
Is not between love and indifference,
But you are right in front of me,
And I don’t know you are there.
Innocent and pure natural life,
Bestows upon us an ethereal glow.
When the world’s challenges confront me,
I find myself reminiscing about that butterfly I once encountered,
Taking flight once more, soaring high above.
