Fading
Have you ever watched someone’s life fade,
See the memory of you,
Fade from their eyes,
Blur with the memory of others?
She’s been here my whole life,
Yet my entire life is melting from her mind.
She is so strong,
Tries so hard to remember us,
But the disease is killing her.
Killing the memory of who she was,
And who she is.
She is my great grandmother.
The woman who gave me everything I am.
She is an inspiration,
A true sweetheart, a blessing to this earth
My memory of her will never fade,
But her memory of me fades
With
Every
Passing
Second.
