The shy, gracious flames
Whisper songs of elegance
Dancing in the night
They flit to and fro
To the macabre elegy
Of the gentle darkness
The humble nighttime
Greets me
With chilled
Affectionate hands
The fire
licks at my face
Swaddling me in docile heat
The reverent breeze
Hums a breathless melody
Cloaking me
In placid tranquility
