As galaxies converge and canaries sing
In a group, a community:
a home.
when you’ve found your place,
It feels familiar,
like sinking into
a worn-out cushion,
fabric sculpting,
matching every fold.
you could sit for hours,
unfazed, unperturbed.
waves of déjà vu,
accepted, not rejected.
You find a voice,
like a newborn canary singing,
vocal cords straining,
fighting against the notes.
yet, the melody forms,
a chorus of heartfelt laughter.
silence into song,
flowing in tandem.
Illusions fade,
like the midnight
fog dissipating,
floating away,
as sun hits water.
a mask is lifted,
a fresh face emerges.
assumptions dropped,
insecurities celebrated.
Insignificance is abandoned,
like a star bursting into life,
once a small speck,
now circling galaxies.
bathed in light,
outshining the past.
spinning in tune,
strong and seen.
in a group, a community:
A Home.
