Story
I don’t care what they say
One day, I am going to change the world
And this will all just be a part of my story.
Words and sentences that make up my whole life
But how can some scribbles on a page summarize what I’ve gone through
They can’t.
In all of the 200,000 some words in the English language,
None of them are deep enough to make you feel what I felt
Sadness, doesn’t explain the ache of losing someone you held dear
Anger, doesn’t explain the rage of having your own life be controlled
And loneliness, doesn’t explain the feeling that no one would miss you if you were gone
But still.
I will try.
I will continue to write my pain out and share it with others
To allow them to use it as a stepping stone in their own journey
But writing about the past can only do so much
Yes, this is my story.
One with bends and loops and forks and sometimes giant cliffs,
But it’s not quite done yet.
Every good book has an ending, and mine is still being written
All I can do now,
Is live in the moment.
Take the present one step at a time
Looking back every once in a while just to make sure it’s all still there,
And never looking too far ahead.
After all,
You can’t write your future.
Destiny has always been the best storyteller.
