Meaningless Words
the tears fall,
down,
down,
down,
and I can do nothing,
nothing to stop them.
I could say,
"we'll be all right,
...probably,"
but what if we won't?
I could say,
"We'll make it,
...somehow,"
but what if we don't?
I could say,
a hundred words
meant to comfort,
but they remain meaningless
without the truth.
