The Living River
Life is a river
It can only be seen once
This life of ours
Is just this once
And it's just like a river
For the end of the river is death
First, the river forms so little
like your first step, It flows and flows
People fulfil their needs through it
And after that what they'd say, who knows
Gradually, it takes form
And never stops yet, as it has no certain halt
It passes all types of people
Good but bad, rich but poor
The people wonder its origin
But, what do they have in store? The Unknown!
As days pass, parts of the river evaporate
And it has changed to be old and great
Soon full soon, the time has come
For the river to have its rest
After flowing endlessly
And then we hear a loud shrill
Like a person falling down the hill
There no longer is a river
As it is gone and mixed with the ocean now
Everything has its end; So does this life, a river
