D.A.D
Dad,
You made me really mad.
You left me wondering why
You even made me cry.
You left me feeling dead,
Full of worry, full of dread.
Unloved from the guy I looked up to
Left me like I was a stranger,
No longer wanted.
Dad, you were my first heartbreak
I was broken.
Your absence is long,
Filled in though by my mom.
She picked the pieces up,
My mom is my superhero.
She saved us from him,
The monster that I had called dad.
Now all is good,
As good as can be.
We’re better off now,
Without him we’re free.
