My Pick from the Sea
Swirling movements, beyond my reach,
beside the cool water, on the warm beach.
The fish of many swim up to me,
a warm welcome to the sea.
Coral of all shapes and sizes,
lightly sways as sea level rises.
Turtles come and turtles go,
following the sweet ocean flow.
Little jade statues stand, covered in moss,
fish made of gold, with shimmering gloss.
Full of grace, with royalty,
Came the wonder of the deep blue sea.
My face pressed against the glass,
by the big, crazy mass.
My eyes became wide,
hands at my side.
"Dad! I want this one!" I say, full of glee,
Carrying my true beauty, out of the sea.
"We'll become friends!" I say to my fish.
"That's also my wish",
-said the fish.

I wrote this because it reminded me of my expierience of getting a pet fish. I was so excited, I couldn't contain myself from stading still. This is my first poem, but it won't be my last!
